Salvador d'Horta Bofarull Collection (SHB). Author manuscripts

This collection is made up of 27 compositions from the second half of the nineteenth to the first quarter of the twentieth century. It contains works by Catalan composers A. Barba, S. d’H. Bofarull, J. Sariols and R. Vilanova. Particularly noteworthy are the operas Gildippe ed Odoardo, Gonzalvo and Melusina by Joan Sariols, and his Simfonia Las dos lápidas del Gran Teatro del Liceo, in the version for orchestra and band, the first performance of which was brought to the Liceu by Sariols himself following the fire of 1861.
